The second is this: “‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Jesus told us the greatest two commandments were to love God and love our neighbors. But our world today looks very different than the world Jesus lived in — we have cars and cell phones and social media and commitments and so many distractions.
And while it may be easier than ever to hole up in our homes and keep to ourselves, it’s also easier than ever to connect with the people around you. You just have to know where to start
And the holidays are a great time to start — there are so many opportunities to connect, and to make sure the people where you live, work, and play are known and loved.

meaningful conversation starters
Pray each day for opportunities for meaningful conversations with people God puts your life. Then, keep questions like these in your back pocket to get the conversation going.
- How do you celebrate Thanksgiving? Christmas?
- Are you traveling for the holidays?
- Did you have a favorite holiday tradition growing up?
- Do you have a favorite holiday meal/side/dessert?
- If you could gift any ONE thing to anyone in the world, what would it be?
