Pray to experience joy in Christ through our theme verse:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Review the memory verse for the week:

In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:10

Read and meditate on this passage today: Philippians 1:18. We are returning to a verse from Philippians, Paul’s most joyous letter.

Philippians 1:18

18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,

What causes Paul to rejoice? What does he see as important?

PRAY

As the Spirit leads, let these themes guide you in your prayer today:

  • Thank God for all he has given us in Christ by the Spirit.
  • Confess your failure to share Christ.
  • Pray that you will share Christ with people.
  • Pray that the people of Christ Fellowship will share Christ.
  • Pray that talking about Christ will be important to you.
